Charles Howard Hinton as One of the British Writers

One of the most famous British writers is Charles Howard Hinton. He was born in 1853 in England. He became a famous mathematician and coined the words ’kata‘, ’ana‘, and ’tesseract’ aka ’regular octachoron‘, which he first used in hi book “A New Era of Thought”.

During Hinton’s college days, he took his BA at Oxford University in England. At the same time, he was also teaching at Cheltenham Ladies College. In 1880 to 1886, he also taught at Uppingham School located in Rutland, England. He wrote the books, “What is the Fourth Dimension?” and “A Plane World”, which was included in the pamphlets of Swan Sonnenschein & Co. He married Mary Ellen, the daughter of Mary and George Boole. He also married Maud Wheldon, which resulted to his conviction of bigamy. He stayed behind bars for one day and flew to Japan together with Mary Ellen. In 1893, he became a math instructor at Princeton University in New Jersey, USA. He was later dismissed at the University for inventing a pitching machine powered by gunpowder that fires a baseball 60 to 70 miles per hour, resulting to the injury of the members of the baseball team. Though the machine was harmful, in 1900, it was introduced at the University of Minnesota where he served as an assistant professor. He resigned when he moved to the US Naval Observatory in Washington, DC. Before he died of cerebral haemorrhage on April 30, 1907, he served as an examiner of the United States Patent Office, focusing on chemical patents. What is ssd?
