Andrew Cartmel as One of the British Writers
Science fiction refers to the involvement of modern, current and future science and technology in books, movies, articles, games and films. One of the famous British science fiction authors is Andrew Cartmel.
Cartmel is a British science fiction writer and a journalist. He studied and worked for a computer-aided design company in Cambridge, England, in 1980. During his late twenties, Cartmel became the script editor for the 24th season of the science fiction programme ’Doctor Who‘. The programme stopped airing in 1989. He then worked as the script editor of BBC’s number one medical drama series, ‘The Casualty’. He left the company after working there for a year. He started writing comic strips for the ’Doctor Who‘ magazine and the ’Judge Dredd‘ magazine. ’The Wise‘, his first original novel, was published by ’Virgin World’s‘ in 1999. In 2000, he became the editor of ’Starburst‘, a science fiction magazine. He wrote ’Winter for the Adept‘ in 2003. He wrote ’Foreign Devils‘ and ’Atom Bomb Blues‘ in 2005. After that, he became a script editor again for the TV adventure series the ’Dark Knight’” in 2001 and also created a gothic thriller stage play entitled ’End of the Night‘, which was produced by Long Shadow productions in 2003. Beckett also worked at Nicotinell Comedy Auditions in 2007. He also wrote ’Miss Freedom‘, which is a novel. He wrote ‘The Prisoner‘, which is a TV series by Powys Media. The first show was aired on February 15, 2008.
